Forest and Environmental Certification
Western Forest Products is committed to sustainable development of the public and private forest lands under our stewardship. As part of our commitment, WFP has voluntarily pursued forest certification initiatives.
Forest certification provides a structured process for the achievement of continual improvement. It involves independent, third party assurance that WFP forest operations are meeting specified standards that form integral components of certification programs.
Forest operations are assessed by a qualified, independent auditor according to previously defined standards that ensures that WFP forest operations are managed in an environmental, social and economically responsible manner.
