The Keogh River is a demonstration-training site for both applications of instream and off-channel fish habitat rehabilitation for the Watershed Restoration Program. The Keogh River lies largely in Western Forest Products Ltd. tenure (TFL 25). Over the past six years, WFP has been a partner in restoring the watershed by supplying restoration materials and undertaking cross ditching and revegetation work at most unstable road and gully sites. Projects continue to investigate salmonid population dynamics, the effectiveness of restoration structure placements and stream fertilization on salmonid growth and survival, and ballasting requirements for structural integrity of LWD complexes.
