RESEARCH AND IMPROVEMENT
Company -> Timberlands -> Stewardship ->

WFP has pioneered several innovative harvesting and reforestation practices to meet environmental objectives, improve productivity and worker safety.

WFP developed the super-snorkel logging machine's safer, more efficient method of moving logs from areas adjacent to roads onto logging trucks. As well, WFP pioneered the wide-spread use of hoe forwarding technology on the coast. This specially-designed low-pressure tracked equipment improves safety and minimizes soil compaction while enabling the company to harvest sensitive, isolated timber stands near wildlife reserves and riparian areas.
