Management Plan #11 – TFL 6 – Version 1 (draft)
Tree Farm Licence 6 (TFL 6), held by Western Forest Products Inc., covers roughly 217,000 hectares on Northern Vancouver Island, in the vicinity of Quatsino Sound on the west coast and Port McNeill on the east coast. The process of review and approval of Management Plan (MP) #11 and determination of a new Allowable Annual Cut (AAC) for TFL 6 is currently underway.
Overview
Context
The Management Plan (MP) provides a general description of the TFL, a brief history of the licence, a list of publicly available planning documents that guide Western’s operations, and a timber supply analysis. The timber supply analysis supports the Chief Forester of British Columbia in determining the Allowable Annual Cut (AAC) for TFL 6 under Section 8 of the Forest Act.
Timelines
The draft MP is available for review from June 26, 2026 to August 27, 2026.
