WFP produces a variety of Hem-Fir products that customers around the world have come to rely on for all types of construction, especially housing. The Japanese housing market is one of its biggest end users. WFP Hem-Fir products are also valued for joinery and millwork such as doors, windows, mouldings and other appearance products because of their durability, light colour and receptivity to finishes and stains.

Green Hem Fir (GHF) – ‘N’ Stamped for ‘Northern’

  • Products are S4S with an eased edge — 3”, 4” and 6” is S4S with a square edge
  • Products may be available in rough or rough sawn
  • Products are also sold in a ‘No-Wane’ #2 Structural/Better
  • Utility/Better and #3Structural/Better products are not grade stamped and no end-paint
  • Products currently have green end-paint, but we also produce with no end-paint
  • Products are anti-stained treated
  • ‘Stud Grade’ is available in 92 5/8, 104 5/8 and 116 5/8″
