Global climate change, increases in water and air pollution coupled with the rapid decrease of non-renewable resources have resulted in the construction sector now looking to use more materials that are better for the environment. Natural wood products are low carbon emitting to produce, are sustainable and renewable, and capture carbon, meaning they sequester carbon in the structure of buildings and homes and actually help reduce our global impact on the environment. With one of the largest areas of Crown land under tenure, Western Forest Products has access to the most sustainable and responsibly managed standing timber on the BC Coast, ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of the highest-quality wood products for our customers.

As well as having access to exceptional standing timber, WFP’s structural products benefit from significant investment in our sawmills and remanufacturing facilities. These facilities produce an impressive range of structural wood products in a variety of wood species. All products are available in a wide range of dimensions and lengths, surface textures from rough- sawn to S4S (smooth surface on all four sides), and various grades ranging from knotty to A clear vertical grain.
