TFL 37, held by Western Forest Products Inc. (WFP), covers roughly 160,000 hectares of land in the Nimpkish valley located in the north central portion of Vancouver Island The Management Plan provides a general description of the TFL, a brief history, a list of publicly available planning documents that guide WFP’s operations and a timber supply analysis for the TFL. The analysis provides information to assist the Chief Forester of BC in determining the allowable annual cut (AAC) for TFL 37.
Management Plan #10 for TFL 37 was approved by the Deputy Chief Forester of BC on July 25th, 2018. Also on this date, the Deputy Chief Forester set the AAC for TFL 37 at 847,000 m3/year. This AAC is in effect for up to 10 years.
